Western and Eastern Comics and Cartoons

Weeaboos:
You know them. The ones that are UBER OBSESSED with Japan. The love Anime and Manga and only Anime and Manga. They only draw in an attempted Anime style. They poorly speak Japanese. Some want to move to Japan and become a Manga Artist. Some succeed and find failure. And they hate Western Comics and Cartoons.

Now we go to it's Western equivalent...

Westaboos:
Kind of unknown. Sometimes not as rabid as Weaaboos, but worth a mention. They are obsessed with Western Culture. They are obsessed with Western Comics and Cartoons. They hate Anime and Manga. They only draw in a cartoony style. Some can be rabid as Weeaboos, some will not.

What makes them both alike is that they are obsessed with a culture and try to emulate it. They hate the opposite culture. They argue with people on which is better: Anime and Manga, or Comics and Cartoons.

Well guess what? They are both great.

Anime and Manga are basically Japanese Comics and Cartoons. The only thing that makes them different is the style and how they are made. Also (and you Weeaboos and Westaboos will LOVE this), the whole Anime and Manga style was INSPIRED by American Comics and Cartoons. The big eyes in Anime and Manga came from the Disney film Bambi, and the animation was inspired by the animation techniques of the Fleischers (creators of Betty Boop). But, sometimes the Anime and Manga style doesn't always look like what you expect to see in Anime and Manga. First there's Mario, then there's One Piece, Fairy Tail, Akira Toriyama, Soul Eater, Shigeru Mizuki, and Osamu Tezuka.


What I hate seeing is how some people would hate on Anime and Manga and some people would hate on Comics and Cartoons. I am fan of BOTH Anime and Manga AND Comics and Cartoons and am influenced by both. They are both wonderful mediums of art that shouldn't be looked down in the art world. There can be a personal style in Anime and Manga but that takes some study on the human body and influences, same goes for Comics and Cartoons.

And I DO NOT want to see the ASININE excuse and argument, "Don't like, Don't look". Because it is a stupid and worthless argument because:

1. It's overused.

2. It also applies to the person who is saying it (if they do whine about things they don't like, then it makes them hypocrites).

3. People sometimes NEED to look at things they don't like so they can come up with a reasonable argument against it.
